Saturday was shaping up to be another adventure, and one of the highlights was catching The Droors, a Doors tribute band, at Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay. If you’re into live music in scenic spots, this place hits all the right notes (pun intended).

Stone Harbor Resort: A Chill Spot with Caribbean Vibes Tiki Bar

The band was set up on the Stone Harbor patio, overlooking the river. Now, this is a great place to just hang out, whether you’re there for the music or just to relax. The view? Fantastic – the river adds that perfect touch to the atmosphere, making it feel like you’ve escaped to your own little waterfront getaway.

There’s a small shack that acts as the bar, and it’s got a fun, Caribbean-style vibe going on. You can grab a drink and settle in for a laid-back time, which is exactly what we did.

The Droors: Rocking the Classics in a Cozy Setting

Let’s talk about The Droors. They’re a five-piece band, and while the patio felt a little snug for them, they made it work. This tribute band nailed The Doors’ classics, taking the crowd on a nostalgic trip through all the big hits. The sound, though – well, that was a bit off. I overheard a few people mentioning that the band usually sounds a lot better, and honestly, the sound mix wasn’t ideal. But hey, not every gig is perfect, right?

That didn’t stop anyone from having a good time, though. They still put on a fun show, and for a Saturday evening by the water, it was exactly what we needed. Even with the sound hiccup, their performance was solid, and the energy was infectious.

If you ever find yourself in Sturgeon Bay, I definitely recommend swinging by Stone Harbor Resort. Whether there’s a band playing or not, it’s just a cool spot to hang out. And if you get the chance to see The Droors, don’t hesitate – they know how to bring The Doors’ spirit to life, especially when the sound system cooperates!
