If you’re living in Northeast Wisconsin, you already know Friday night means one thing: Fish Fry. We recently stopped into Willie Beamon’s to test out their Friday fish fry special—specifically their $13.99 All-You-Can-Eat Whitefish. Here is the full rundown on the food, the vibe, and whether it’s worth adding to your Friday night rotation.
We walked in right during prime dinner hours, and the place had a really solid crowd going. The bar area has that classic Wisconsin tavern feel. While it looks a little dated and probably hasn't had major updates in a while, it has character and didn't bother us at all. It’s a comfortable, casual spot to grab a drink and start the weekend.
How do you pass up an all-you-can-eat whitefish deal for under fifteen bucks? We ordered a couple of drinks, grabbed a menu (which offers a nice selection of options), and locked in our fish orders.
When it comes to overall bang for your buck, Willie Beamon’s delivers a solid meal that won't break the bank.
We opted to sit at the bar, which turned out to be a bit of a mixed experience:
Service felt a bit sub-par behind the pine, but given how busy the room was, it might have just been an off night for the bartender.
Overall: Great food and incredible value. Give Willie Beamon's a try for your next Friday Fish Fry run!
