I started my Friday adventure at the Rusted Roost in Menasha with none other than Tyler SJ strumming his infectious tunes. Fast forward to Saturday in Oshkosh, where the Oshkosh Jazz Festival lit up downtown. I was lucky enough to catch Mar Vilaseca, the Barcelona-born jazz singer whose range and energy were nothing short of electric. And then—boom! Sal “La Voz” Valentinetti takes the stage. If you recognize the name, it’s probably from America’s Got Talent. This Italian-American crooner belts out Sinatra with that classic swagger, and trust me, the crowd ate it up. Champagne vibes without the champagne prices—thank you, Oshkosh! 🥂🎷
But wait, my weekend marathon of music wasn’t quite over. Before I could call it a night, I zipped over to Fox River House in Appleton for a set with The Sisters Winchester. Imagine sibling harmonies so tight you could bounce a quarter off them—these ladies have that magical family blend you don’t get anywhere else. Soulful, rootsy, and just the right amount of sass. Perfect nightcap.
