Sturber's Kaukauna

January 15, 2023

Stuber's Bar and Grill in Kaukauna, Wisconsin is a must-visit spot for any fish lover. With a menu that boasts a variety of fish dishes, including their delicious grilled haddock and fried fish. One of the standout dishes at Stuber's is their grilled haddock. It has a crispy, golden crust on the outside and a flaky, moist interior. The meat is flavorful and not at all fishy, making it a tasty option for those who are hesitant about seafood. It's served with a side of crispy fries, baked potato, or chips.

Another must-try dish is their fried fish. The fish is lightly battered and fried to a perfect crisp, with a delicate, flaky texture. In addition to its fish dishes, Stuber's also offers a variety of other menu items, including burgers, sandwiches, and chicken. However, the fish dishes are definitely the stars of the show for me so far.

Overall, Stuber's Bar and Grill is a great spot for a casual dinner and they have the space to entertain. I am excited to get back here to see some live music soon.

After some tasty fish my bud Chris and I headed a block down the street to check out some live music at the Vaudette Theater in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. This historic theater has been in the community for years, hosting a variety of performances and events, including live music, art shows, and even swing dancing. They were putting on a show with the Trash Pandas and Grim Waters. We only stayed to see Grim Waters for a little while. To be honest the sound in the place just didn't seem that clean. These bands fall more on the heavy side and I think they might have been shooting for loud. Which is okay, but maybe too much for this venue. The theater is a unique and interesting venue with a mix of funky and Victorian. The stage is small and makes it hard for multiple bands. Trash Panda was setting up their drums out in the crowd. The theater also has a small set up for snacks and drinks. Everything in a can. But with a fair variety as I got a Brandy Old Fashion. I will be keeping an eye on the venue to see what else they do. Could be interesting.

We headed over to check out Scotty Meyer. He was playing with a three-piece band called Sideshow. Member of the Sonic Circus band. Three musicians - one playing keyboards, one playing guitars, and one playing drums - can all sing. They are a fun band with a serious variety of songs.
