The sun was high and the afternoon air was warm as we headed over to The Wharf. The view from the bar is hard to beat—you can see the lake well, but looking out across the river toward the maritime museum and the submarine makes the backdrop even cooler. We were there for a Saturday afternoon show featuring Pretty Tied Up, an all-star Guns N' Roses tribute band bringing the ultimate hard rock vibe right to the waterfront.
When we first arrived, though, the band wasn't on stage yet. We were informed at the door that the guys had suffered a breakdown on the road while traveling up from Indianapolis. But with a venue as nice as The Wharf, waiting wasn't a chore. We hung around, enjoyed the gorgeous weather outside, and soaked in the river views while we waited for them to roll in.
Eventually, they just showed up. And when they did, they didn't waste any time—they got their gear set up quick, and then disappeared for a bit for a proper costume change to lock in that classic GN'R look.
When they finally hit the stage, the energy was electric. They tore through all the main Guns N' Roses tunes, channeling that gritty, high-octane spirit with incredible accuracy. The crowd was totally into them from the first chords, and it turned into an unforgettable afternoon of live music.
