The Snowmageddon Shakedown: Buster Daizy Band Defies the Drift at Thirst Bar & Grill
They called it "Snowmageddon," but the Buster Daizy Band came anyway without worrying about the snow.
While most of Wisconsin was hunkering down and eyeing their snowblowers this past Saturday, March 14th, these troopers were hauling gear up from the Milwaukee area to make sure Greenville didn't miss its Saturday night fix. I’d been working on getting these guys up to our neck of the woods for a while, and even with the storm looming, they didn't flinch. They headed up anyway to rock the bar, proving they are absolute professionals who don't let a little powder stand in the way of a great show.
But if you think a little (okay, a lot) of powder was going to stop the party at Thirst Bar & Grill, you don’t know this crowd.
I walked into Thirst—located right in that sweet spot of Greenville/Appleton—just in time to see the guys doing their celebratory pre-gig shots. You could tell right then the energy was going to be high. From the very first song, they absolutely lit the place up.
If you haven't seen them yet, let me tell you: Buster Daizy is a great hard rock band. We’re talking thunderous riffs that rattle your teeth and blistering solos that make you forget there’s a foot of snow outside. Their lyrics cut to the bone, and it’s easy to see why they are leaving their mark on fans all across the state.
These guys are real pros. Their setlist was really good, and they’ve easily claimed a spot as one of the best bands I’ve seen in a long time. They hired me to capture the night with photos and video, and while I got some great stuff, you really have to see them in action to get the full effect. If you’re looking for things to do in Greenville or searching for the best nightlife near Appleton, keep your eyes on the Thirst Bar & Grill calendar—and definitely don't sleep on Buster Daizy next time they roll into town.
