Hot Friday afternoons are made for adventure, and that's exactly what I had in mind. I was itching to hit the lake with my pontoon, but before embarking on my nautical escapade, I decided to give my buddy a call to see if he wanted to join in on the fun.

As luck would have it, my buddy mentioned the possibility of storms on the horizon. A quick glance at the weather confirmed his suspicions – Mother Nature had other plans for our lake adventure. But hey, we're not ones to be discouraged easily. So, we put the pontoon on hold and instead set our sights on Waverly.

Waverly was not exactly bustling with activity. Nevertheless, we made the most of it, chatting away about everything under the sun. Soon, a wild idea popped into our heads – why not go on a spontaneous road trip? The destination? Bridge Bar in Fremont, where the 6 Pack / 12 Bar band was set to perform. With the promise of good music and good vibes, we hit the road.

When we arrived at Bridge Bar, the patio was buzzing with folks soaking up the summer atmosphere. The band was dropping some fun summer grooves. Naturally, I couldn't resist capturing some video and photos of the lively scene, because sharing is caring, right?

Bridge Bar never disappoints – the combination of mouthwatering food, excellent service, and picturesque river views always hits the spot. Oh, did I mention their outdoor grilling station? It was churning out some seriously tempting dishes that made our mouths water.

While we were checking out the sights and sounds, we spotted a couple of daredevils out on the river, zipping around on hoverboards. Now, these things look like a blast! On Sunday, I ran into one of the riders and had a closer look. These hoverboards were sleek, built entirely from carbon fiber, and packed a crazy battery. But hold onto your hats – they come with a hefty price tag of $14K! Yikes!

So we knew it was time to head back to Appleton. But don't worry, our adventure isn't over just yet. We were off to catch Pat McCurdy's lively performance at Game Day Sports Bar. Because why stop the good times rolling?
