On Friday night, my pal invited me to join him at Pub 55 to catch a gig by Ask You Mother. It had been a while since I'd seen them, so I was down. We hit up Northland Pub for a few drinks before making our way over. The Pub 55 parking lot was only about half full, and when we got inside, it didn't look like the joint was exactly hopping. But hey, it's a big place, so maybe it just felt that way. We made our way to the bar to grab some brews and then headed to the North side of the bar to see the band. They're a five-piece outfit with what seemed like four different vocalists. They played a bunch of covers and had good stage presence, with some clever vertical banners hanging in front of the speakers. We arrived a bit late, but I managed to capture about an hour's worth of their performance on video, which I've obviously had to trim down quite a bit. I also snapped some photos after the video ended, which you'll see in there too.
