Just like that, it's the last night of Oshkosh Waterfest. They finished the season with Dirty Honey, Alex McMurray Band, and the Mac Saturn Band. I brought my daughter to check out the show. We got in late and missed the Mac Saturn Band. I was surprised the crowd seemed small. But the Packers preseason game was on at the same time, so maybe that was a bit of a draw. When we arrived, the Alex McMurray band was already playing some funky music. They are a fantastic band and brought some serious energy to the stage. Then Dirty Honey came out and hit the stage. This band was a lot of fun and fired up the crowd. You can get a taste of both these bands by watching the video and looking at the photos. The music was great and we had a great time. Make sure to check out the Oshkosh Waterfest schedule and get to a show soon! Check out the video and a few photos below you can see all the photos on the main photo gallery site! Waterfest Oshkosh - Trombone Shorty and Gov't Mule Band
Waterfest Oshkosh with Trombone Shorty & Gov't Mule
Trombone Shorty & Government Mule came to put on the show for the August 18thOshkosh Waterfest. I headed over and hoped for the best with the weather. There was rain in Menasha as I left. But the closer I got to Oshkosh, the nicer the weather got. I walked into the amphitheater and Trombone Shorty was already up on stage and tearing it up. It was really nice to have something different for music. This band came up from New Orleans and brought some sassy jazz with him for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to check out the band's info on the Trombone Shorty Website or listen to the music here. Next up on stage was Gov't Mule. Labeled as a Southern Rock Jam band. With hits like Thorazine Shuffle, Soulshine, and Broke Down on the Brazos listen now.The crowd was a fun-loving, easy-going group of people. When Gov't Mule came on stage the crowd went crazy. I will be honest I have not heard of this band before. But I was glad I came out and saw them. There were a few songs I recognized that I didn't know they sang. It was a fun night with some good weather. Always love some live music and summertime. Make sure to check out the Oshkosh Waterfest schedule and get to a show soon! Annex Green Bay Rock Band! I have been out to Annex in a long time. I remember seeing these guys back well over 15 years ago. So when I heard they were going to be in town. I thought damn I have to see them again. They are some very talented guys and always fun to see and hear. I think they tamed it down for this show as it was more of a family atmosphere. But I thought they did a great job. I will leave the critique up to you. That is why I put together the videos. So you can see and hear these local area bands perform. Waterfest Oshkosh - Hairball, Road Trip, and BBI Band
Take 2 Acoustic Cover Band Appleton Wi
What a great night for Oshkosh Waterfest. June 23 2022 with a great lineup. Starting up with the Chicago Band BBI. They came out with some fantastic energy! I took a few minutes to run out to the seawall and see what was going on with the boaters. It was nice to see a fairly full wall of boats cover the whole block. Make sure to check out the full gallery to see all the boat pictures. I went back in once I heard Roadtrip playing. They are always a fun local group to see. They did a great job tonight as usual! I ran into a number of old friends and caught up a little bit. Then Hairball came out and hit the stage. They rocked the hell out of it! The led backdrop, costume changes, pyrotechnics, and fog gun were amazing visuals you can't help but love. I think the band gets a little better every year. Road Trip Band-It took me a while to get my butt out again to get some photos of Road Trip Band. As the Road Trip Band swung into Menasha, I figured I would go and see the new singer they had added. I am happy to report in my opinion that Shawn is a great fit. The addition of his songs has added quite a few more great covers to this group's already expansive repertoire. Overall, I was also impressed with the overall stage production and video wall. Watching Amy and all of the band members is always a joy. They all always look like they are having a great time. The group covers a wide range of music genres, from classic rock to country to today's top hits. I have taken some photos and included a long video of more than 24 songs that this band ripped through. I hope you enjoy the photos and the video.See all 129photos here! Johnny Wad comes to Menasha to rock the stage. After some diner, we went out to see the Johnny Wad band. It had been a while since I have seen them. Since they were in our backyard at Stone Toad. Figured we had to go get some pictures and check them out again. They are one of the older established bands in the area. They do a number of the best of the '80s and '90s. rock songs. This 4 piece band keeps you entertained for sure. Hard to believe the first time I saw them was at my friend's wedding back in 2004. They have always had good shows and I look forward to seeing them again. If you ever get a chance they do a killer Pink Floyd tribute show up in Green Bay at the Meyer theater. I checked it out a couple of years back. They do a fantastic job with sound and stage. Check out the video and photos from the show. I hope you enjoy them! See all the photos here!
