Saturday was a picture-perfect day, and the call of the lake was irresistible. I was fortunate enough to have my daughter eager to hit the boat with me, despite having to cut the day a bit short to be back by 5. Unfortunately ran short of time to watch the EAA airshow. But we focused on the positives: we had a boat, sunshine, and a wonderful day ahead to spend together.
We decided to test the grill on the pontoon and picked up some jumbo shrimp to throw on the Barbie. We launched at Menominee Park and made our way to Streich's Beach. Upon arrival, a friend waved us down and helped us park the toon. It's always a treat to drive into a place and have friends waiting to welcome you.
The sun was blazing, the drinks were cold, and the beach was filled with a great crowd enjoying the day. My daughter and I tossed the football around for a while, soaking in the summer vibes. Then it was time to grill the shrimp. There's something about cooking on the boat that makes everything taste a little better, and the shrimp were no exception—they were delicious.
Every moment of the day was fantastic, and I cherished every minute spent with my daughter. We made some great memories, and I, of course, captured some photos to share with you all.
If you ever get the chance, make sure to take a day out on the lake, especially with family. It’s moments like these that make life truly special.
